Nightwater Crafting & Recipe Checks
For a blocked craft, check three things: whether the recipe is unlocked, whether all inputs are available to the crafting stage, and whether its output can be accepted. Nightwater links new crafts to resource milestones and minigame rewards; assemblers are the officially described automated processing role. The Stone Gear image below is a historical UI example, not a verified 1.0 recipe. This guide publishes no complete recipe with guessed ingredient names, quantities or cycle times, and explains how to resolve the craft you are actually trying to make.

Read cost separately from stock
In the official Stone Gear screenshot, each ingredient shows a current amount and a required amount, while the output label shows one Stone Gear. Recognizing those two numbers prevents mistaking your inventory total for the recipe cost. Ingredient icons without readable labels are not enough to name an input reliably.
If the recipe is missing
Check the resource milestone unlock panel and any newly earned minigame reward. A known item name does not prove your character has unlocked its recipe. Compare the current game menu with the recipe you intend to use before adding machines around it.
If the processor is waiting
Inspect the receiving inventory for every required input. Work backward through storage and pipes until you find the empty handoff. If inputs arrive but output stops, inspect the destination. Test one successful cycle before adding more demand.
Plan quantities from your current panel
Record the displayed input cost, output amount and building separately. Enter an observed cycle time only after you measure it in your installed build. Leaving a rate blank keeps the production planner useful for topology without turning an estimate into a claim about game balance.

Put the plan to work
Create source, building and storage nodes, connect the flow, record observed rates and find disconnected stages.
