Industrial Era Guide
The Industrial Era is part of Nightwater's official arc from primitive tools to future technology. Review reliable inputs, visible storage and space for new processing as you expand. Steam does not enumerate a full industrial machine set or rate table. Choose new machinery by the shortage visible in your factory, and check that a larger line can still supply its original consumers.

Audit the new output's inputs
Trace the intended craft back to each source. Verify newly required recipes are unlocked before building extra processors.
Keep transport inspectable
Add clear lanes and useful buffers so a shortage remains visible as the layout grows.
Reassess after boosts
Observe a line again after applying an available bonus. An industrial label does not imply a particular performance multiplier.
Put the plan to work
Audit source, gathering, transport, buffering, processing, output, bottlenecks and expansion room with explicit reasons.
